This lesson contains 40 synonyms (20 pairs) written on cat clipart. All you need to do it cut them out and have students match pairs. You can give them 10 or 20 words at a time so it is less overwhelming. I used 20 words (10 pairs) at a time. There is also a page with no words if you want to add your own words! These synonyms are from the book Pitch and Throw Grasp and Know What is a Synonym? By Brian P. Clearly. You can read the book with the students and then work on this activity so they are familiar with the words. Or you can do the activity first to see what the student already knows. You don’t even need to use the book, you can just use the synonym activity! There is also a page to have students fill in the missing word to complete the sentence (words are synonyms from the book/words written on clip art). There is another page that has one of the synonyms written and students need to recall the synonym to go with the word.
**check everything before you print because you won't need everything!**
