This pack has three activities: Synonym Dominoes, Antonym Dominoes, and Synonym/Antonym Scoops.
For both the Synonym and Antonym Dominoes, I suggest print the domino pages onto cardstock, laminate, and cut them out. Students will find the “START” card and find the synonym/antonym that matches the other end. They will continue to find the synonym/antonym pairs until they reach the “END” card. There are 12 cards in each set, with a total of 11 synonym/antonym pairs. I’ve also included teaching posters with the definitions of synonym and antonym. Optional: students can record the pairs on the provided worksheet.
The third activity requires students to write one synonym and one antonym for a given adjective. This is a great activity for students who might need an extra challenge or already have a solid grasp of synonyms and antonyms.
