Fridays in Texas are Football Fridays! And what better way to take advantage of your students enthusiasm for the sport than to wrap it up in your Language Arts lessons? Students will read a word from a football shaped card and then correctly give either the synonym or antonym. If answered correctly their team will march along the field towards the goal line for a touchdown! Practice synonyms, then antonyms, then mix them together! Game can be produced as a whole group activity as well as a small group game.
