This 67-slide PowerPoint is designed to keep your students engaged and attentive as they review how to identify synonyms and antonyms. I created this PowerPoint for older elementary students who already have an understanding of synonyms and antonyms, and are ready to identify more advanced synonyms and antonyms.
It also contains a 2-page PowerPoint companion handout. Students write on the handout, recording their answers, as you advance through the PowerPoint.
The PowerPoint contains the following format:
Slides 1-14: Reviewing Synonyms
Slides 15-42: Multiple Choice Questions: Synonyms
-Slides 19-24: Test Taking Strategy #1: Using context clues
-Slides 25-30: Test Taking Strategy #2: Using word clues
-Slides 31-38: Test Taking Strategy #3: Eliminating incorrect answers
Slides 43-47: Reviewing Antonyms
Slides 48-54: Multiple Choice Questions: Antonyms
Slides 55-67: Mixed Multiple Choice (without picture clues)
