Finding Synonyms in a Thesaurus Practice: Branching out with Synonyms
Included in Your Purchase:
- 30 "Branching out with Synonyms" activity sheets + a blank tree on which you can write ( Each activity sheet has a different word on the trunk of the tree.) Each student will use a thesaurus to look up the word on the trunk of his / her tree. Then, the student will choose 6 synonyms from the thesaurus. The student will write each synonym on a leaf of the tree. The words on the trunks of the trees are as follows: throw, thin, pretty, little, big, cold, hot, good, bad, happy, sad, cold, hot, dirty, clean, hungry, old, young, shout, quiet, loud, long, short, cheap, expensive, heavy, light, empty, full. The student writes a sentence using one of the synonyms.
