Synonyms Worksheets Christmas Songs

Each of the 6 worksheets features lyrics from one of 6 popular Christmas carols. Students substitute synonyms for the numbered words and write them on the corresponding recording sheet. The worksheets are also coloring pages. For extra fun, have students sing the new song versions using synonyms. Great for the month of December or as a fun activity on the day of the class Christmas party!

The song lyrics used on worksheets come from the public domain holiday songs Jolly Old St. Nicholas, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, O Christmas Tree, Up on the Housetop, Jingle Bells, and Deck the Halls. (I skipped the verse about gay apparel.)
