Understanding a variety of figurative language concepts can be difficult for students being served in special education. This activity provides a total of 30 high frequency words represented by pictures (numbers 1-6). It also has visual representation of similar words that can be paired together (letters a-f).
For example: Little can be matched with Small. Each have a different picture representing them to assist students in learning that synonyms are words that are the same.
Print, laminate and cut out pictures (letters a-f) and have this activity to use over and over again. Perfect for functional academic center activities, as well as, assessing students understanding an knowledge of synonyms!
