This product includes:
-2 interactive notebook activities (stacking dolls flip book and flap foldable)
-one colored stacking doll graphic for anchor charts or interactive notebooks

I use Russian stacking dolls to connect synthesis to something concrete. With each stacking doll, we discuss how our thinking grows and our ideas get bigger as we read a text. This was a very practical representation for my students. They really enjoyed the doll flip book, read aloud, and working together to complete our class anchor chart.

The two texts that I used with this lesson were:
-The Littlest Matryoshka by Corinne Demas Bliss
-Emma Kate by Particia Polacco
*The activities are structured to fit any text, however my lesson overviews for these books are included to make planning easier.
