Systematic Sequential Phonics the Use (Patricia Cunningham, et. al, 2000) is a fantastic way to teach children beginning phonics and spelling. Each of these PowerPoints coincides with one of the first 5 lessons in the program. Animations are used to move letters and spell the words in the lesson. Students can use letter tiles or the letters that come with the program to spell each word as it is spelled in the presentation. Engagement will be increased while the sequence and repetition will improve reading and spelling. This would also work well on a Smartboard or Apple TV. I have included the first lesson as a preview. More lessons will be added as they are completed. Thanks for looking!
