In this activity, students will solve systems of equations as they tap into their creative side! Students will solve systems of equations in both slope-intercept and standard form, using whichever method they prefer, and then locate their answers in a box on the next page. They will follow the directions for each exercise accordingly and fill the appropriate box with fun patterns, drawings, and creative ideas. The students will create their own colorful masterpieces as they reinforce their algebra skills, and you will be able to quickly check for understanding as the students assemble their artwork. This flexible activity allows students to stretch their imagination while reinforcing important algebra concepts. This activity is great for sub work, enrichment/reinforcement of skills, extra credit, or just plain fun! As an added bonus, the completed work doubles as excellent classroom decor and allows your students to show off not only their math, but also their artistic, skills!
