This is a Unit bundle of lessons/worksheets likely for an Algebra 1 class on Systems of Equations. Students are first introduced to graphical systems and explore graphing systems of linear equations, systems of linear inequalities, and linear-quadratic systems (parabola/line and circle/line). Students then solve systems of equations algebraically using both the methods of substitution and elimination. They apply this knowledge in a lesson on word problems involving algebraic systems where students have to both set up a system and solve it based upon some given information. The unit culminates with a unit review and unit exam, which are both included. Some homework assignments to go with most lessons are included as well. This unit is wonderful because it reinforces the core parts of an Algebra 1 course, namely solving linear and quadratic equations and graphing linear equations, linear inequalities, parabolas, and circles. The graphical systems lessons could also be used in a Geometry course.
