These systems of equations stations will help your students delve into the mathematics of systems. They will solve systems of equations using elimination, substitution and graphically. They will solve word problems and write systems of equations. The will also show their understanding through writing.
This product includes the following stations:
• Solving with Elimination
• Solving with Substitution
• Solving Graphically
• How many solutions? – Students are given systems of equations and they must decide how many solutions the system has.
• Word Problems with Systems – Students are given word problems, and they must write a system of equations for the word problem, and solve the system in a method of their choosing.
• Understanding Solutions – Students are given a coordinate point and are asked to analyze if it is a solution to a system of equations. Students will write about infinite, zero and one solutions systems.
Each station will take about 15 – 20 minutes to complete. These would also be great to use as homework, group work or assessments. A recording sheet and answer sheet are included.
