This activity has practice problems for students to solve a system using the following:
Graphing in Slope-Intercept Form
Graphing in Standard Form
Solve by Substitution (when both or one is in slope-intercept form)
Solve by Elimination (with and without scalar multiplication)
This activity is a powerpoint that is completely editable.
The activity includes 24 problems. Each problem is matched up with one of 8 potential answers (three problems each have the same answer). Students will keep track of when each answer is used.
This is a good activity to use to review before a test! I use this to have students practice not only the methods, but also deciding when to use what method. The answers are provided, but not directly, which makes it a great way for students to check themselves as they go along but not copy down just the answers.
I use this in my Algebra I class but it can be applied to any curriculum working on 2x2 systems.
