Systems of Equations using substitution has never been so fun as when students match the systems with the answers to make a tangram puzzle. There are 3 levels of difficulty if you would like to differentiate for specific student needs, or your students can do all three. These will be great for stations, math centers, and I have also used them for students who would like extra credit. Students will enjoy discovering what the puzzles are and gluing them on a sheet of paper for coloring and decorating.
Analyze and solve pairs of simultaneous linear equations.
Understand that solutions to a system of two linear equations in two variables correspond to points of intersection of their graphs, because points of intersection satisfy both equations simultaneously.
