This Animated Algebra interactive video in Flash SWF format is a fully-animated 7.5 minute story problem with 4 multiple choice questions and answers. The files can be downloaded onto a PC or a Mac.
The story problem "Bob and Carl go to the Game" is about Bob and Carl who live on the West Coast and plan on driving to Chicago to see the "big game". They want to take both a car and a truck to Chicago to hold all of their supplies for a tailgate party. Bob will drive the car faster than Carl will drive the truck so Carl will leave earlier. They use a System of Equations to calculate when and where Bob will catch up with Carl so they know where to meet and stay the night.
A 21-minute lesson video and a 2nd story problem video are available for purchase separately. 19 pages of color printable worksheets that accompany the lesson and story problems are available for just $1
The Animated Algebra series of interactive educational films was created by animator/educator Karen Lithgow to teach Algebra I concepts in a FUN, LIVELY and INTERACTIVE format. All of the lessons and story problems are presented in unique and colorful settings with entertaining sound effects and visual elements. The math concepts are explained and demonstrated in a CLEAR FASHION and LOGICAL SEQUENCE so that the students can fully understand them.
The lessons align with the new common core standard for algebra.

On some people’s computers SWF files do not open simply.
The videos are made using SWF files.
If once you download the files and are not able to open them please read below:
When you try to open up the file, a pop up screen may say that your computer can’t open it. This is what you need to do.
Step 1 Download the SWF files from Teachers Pay Teachers
Step 2 Go to your computer’s start up menu and find the DOWNLOADS file folder click on it
