Systems of Equations: Strip Stack Puzzle
Students will practice solving systems of equations using substitution and elimination for this cut and paste activity. There are sixteen problems total. After cutting the puzzle, students start by solving the first system on the Start strip, strip A. Students then stack the answer for strip A underneath, which has the next problem to solve. Students continue to solve and stack the strips in the correct order until they reach the Finish strip.
Show Your Work pages are provided.
This can also be used as a partner activity where the first student works on problems A-H while the second student works on problems I-P and then they complete the puzzle together.
