### Description

Want an easy way to help your students practice solving systems of equations with the substitution method? This is a digital activity designed in Google Forms™ and is set up to be graded automatically! The activity includes 14 problems and is set up to show students one question at a time. Students type in their answers as ordered pairs and can immediately see their scores once they've completed the activity.

This activity is great to use in the classroom or with distance learning!

This is an editable activity. You can add questions of your own to the activity or delete any problems you do not want to use. You can change the answer type (multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, etc.), can change the point values, and if/when students see their scores.

Solutions include positive and negative integers. One system has no solution and one has an infinite number of solutions (you can delete any question you don't want or add in your own).

See the link in the preview for detailed instructions on how to edit, assign to students, and view their scores.

After you purchase the activity, you will receive a pdf with instructions on how to copy the activity to your Google Drive and how to share with students. Although this activity can be printed from Google Drive, a printed copy of this activity is not included in the download. The download is a PDF instruction sheet with a link to the digital activity.

### Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Solve systems of linear equations exactly and approximately (e.g., with graphs), focusing on pairs of linear equations in two variables.
Solve linear equations and inequalities in one variable, including equations with coefficients represented by letters.
Solve systems of two linear equations in two variables algebraically, and estimate solutions by graphing the equations. Solve simple cases by inspection. For example, 3𝘹 + 2𝘺 = 5 and 3𝘹 + 2𝘺 = 6 have no solution because 3𝘹 + 2𝘺 cannot simultaneously be 5 and 6.
Analyze and solve pairs of simultaneous linear equations.
