Description

Introducing systems of equations but you aren't ready for your students to do all the graphing yet? This activity is perfect for getting started! This card matching activity has students match 6 systems of linear equations to their graphs and to their solutions. All of the equations are written in slope-intercept form.

What's included:

• 6 systems of equations cards
• 6 graphed systems cards
• 6 solutions cards

You can choose to have students complete this individually or in pairs or groups. You may start by giving just the systems cards and the graph cards for students to match first and then give them the solutions cards once they have matched the others. Or you may give students all 3 sets at the same time.

The graph cards are labeled with letters and the systems of equations cards are numbered. This makes it easy for students to communicate their thinking with peers and the teacher. A recording sheet is included for students to organize their work.

A key is included for quick and easy checking.
