You must have PowerPoint to open the Jeopardy file.
Objective: To practice solving systems of lienar equations. Students must solve using a variety of methods: graphing, substitution, elimination, and multiplication with elimination. Students must also write systems of equations from word problems.
Directions: For this activity, students will work in teams.
Open the PowerPoint and start the Slide Show.
Decide which team will select first.
To select a question, click on the green number in that box. Once on that slide, one click will display the question.
Give students time to complete the question. The first team with the correct solution wins those points. To display the solution, click one more time.
After you have displayed the answer, to return back to the home screen click on the green title to the slide. When you return to the home screen you will find that that slide number is now blue. This allows everyone to know which questions have been completed and which are available to choose.
Whichever team won the last question gets to choose the next one. Continue until all questions have been answered.
There is a final Jeopardy! Click on the heading “This is JEOPARDY” to be taken to the final Jeopardy question.
