This is a hands-on center for students just learning addition and subtraction. Students use the visuals to help them solve the problems. This makes a great math center for introducing addition or independent work for review! Enjoy!
How to play:
Students pick two t-shirt cards. They write each number in one of the t-shirt number sentences on the addition recording sheet. Students then count the total number of dots to come up with the answer to write in the last box. Repeat until all number sentences are completed.
You can also do this with subtraction. When the students draw two cards, they write the bigger number in the first shirt (on the subtraction recording sheet) and the smaller in the second. They then subtract the smaller number from the bigger number to get the answer they will write in the answer box.
