HOW TO USE THIS PRODUCT:

{This product is most successful in a special education or general education setting with a high functioning student who is placed on a Tier 2 or Tier 3 behavior intervention plan.}

I. Create folder with break posters (for single students) - or display on your classroom wall to use with multiple students or all students in self-contained classroom.
2. Teach student how to take a break, what it looks like, and when a break is needed. TEACH this first. It will save you a lot of time down the road. Use the worksheets provided to go over "break expectations" and consequences of misusing a break.
3. Provide them with a break card (or multiple) for them to use during the day, when they feel like they need it - this should be student led as they are gaining independence and working on self-managing.
