Product Description
Encourage any traveler (children 5-12) along their reading journey with this fun book report activity that can be used with any book. This activity makes a great complement to the TCP Reading Journey! Get the reading journey kit at Traveling Children Project's TPT store or tcp.fyi/GetJourneyKitTpT

TCP Book Report Suitcase allows travelers to:
– Define challenging vocabulary through the Vocabulary Word Tickets
– Rate and review book using the Star Compass, where travelers can:
• list 3 similar books;
• choose favorite quote from book;
• describe favorite character in 3 words;
• explain moral of story, if one exists
– Reflect on the conflict, setting and theme of book using the Book Map
– Summarize the beginning, middle and end of book and describe an alternate ending using the Book Summary Notes
– Express their favorite part of the book in My Favorite Part
– Illustrate and define main character and redefine or emulate book cover
– Personalize each book report with child's name, book title and author/illustrator

– Printer that can duplex (you can choose to print in either color or grayscale)
– Scissors (paper trimmer or exacto knife and ruler works well, too)
– Glue stick (or double-sided tape)
– Round-corner punch (not a must, but gives a nice, finished look to some elements)
– Standard file folder (plain or fun, vibrant colored)
NOTE: Open folder flat, then fold each side in half towards middle so that tab meets in center (reference preview picture that demonstrates this)
– 3 pages of white paper
– 6 pages of colored paper (can also be white, but colors make it more fun!)
– Two-hole punch and prong fasteners for Book Summary Notes (can also be stapled onto folder instead)
– 1” diameter circle punch for Vocabulary Word Tickets (again, not a must, but gives a fun look to the tickets)

PRODUCTION NOTES: Print entire PDF in duplex fashion on printer, if possible.
