I use this display as my students are working on TDAs. We use the RACE strategy, so the goals are set up with those rules in mind.
R: Restating the question
A: Answering the question
C: Citing from the text
E: Explaining how my citation supports my answer
Conventions: Spelling, Capitalization, Punctuation, etc
Keeping It Up - I'm Getting It!
I have students choose an area of their TDAs that they need to improve on, write their name on a clothespin, and pin their names to the corresponding circle. This is a great motivator for kids! They ALL want to reach the final "I'm getting it!" circle!
