Delle Sangu's TED Talk, There's No Shame in Taking Care of Your Mental Health, takes an honest look at how he had to overcome stigma and share about his mental health. This talk would be beneficial when discussing how to handle stress or looking at the benefits of being open and vulnerable when it comes to our mental health. This would be a great addition for the Treatment of Psychological Disorders Unit in Psychology or in a Health course.
From TED.com: "When stress got to be too much for TED Fellow Sangu Delle, he had to confront his own deep prejudice: that men shouldn't take care of their mental health. In a personal talk, Delle shares how he learned to handle anxiety in a society that's uncomfortable with emotions. As he says: 'Being honest about how we feel doesn't make us weak -- it makes us human.'"
There are 12 questions on this worksheet and an answer key has been provided for your convenience. The talk is 9 minutes in length but you will need to allow time before and after the talk for students to answer a few of the questions. I have one question to be answered prior to the talk and three to be answered afterwards. I would also allow for discussion time afterwards. This type of activity has typically taken 25-30 minutes when I factor in the time for those questions and discussion.
