Use this as a mini-lesson, whole class lesson, or small group activity. It can be used to introduce 3.3H and see where your students are, or as an intervention.
This activity is ideal for students working in groups of 2, 3, or 4.
Each member of the group will have their own strip of fraction pictures to place in order from greatest to least. Students then work collaboratively to build conclusions about the meanings of numerators, denominators, and relative size of fractions. Use the 5 practice questions as an exit ticket to complete this mini-lesson!
A portion of the materials contained in this publication were created with the use of 1, 2, 3, Math Fonts.
