'When I Grow Up' templates are several different templates on birds, some appropriate to pre-k or k, some with enough lines for 7th grade. There are blank templates, which we generally include at Crown and Gown, in case you'd like to superimpose them over darkly lined paper, which, when you remove it, will make your students look like they can write perfectly and straightly even without lined paper!! Also, the blank templates can be cut outs for construction paper (or trace the other birds, in case you'd like to staple them above for a flippy flap to lift and see the writing underneath). Also, you can staple string and the construction cut outs to the string, so that they can dangle above the birds and cotton clouds (see crown and gown cloud template). The birds can be run off on pastel colored paper, such as pink, yellow, and purple pastel, which will also give off bird like colors. Or they can color the other bird templates with colors. There is room on some of the birds for drawings of the students doing what they would like to do when they grow up. Get the "PLAN" from Crown and Gown to see how to get the students to write and to create this product in stations, as well as taking the students who need extra help to the kidney table in a 'guided' station.
