Product Description
This is a test that is used to assess your students on their use of the reading strategies, the two types of characterization, the elements of fiction and the use of context clues. This test allows the students to apply the knowledge through reading passages and showing the use of the reading strategies, rather than just re-stating them or defining them. This test also allows the students to demonstrate knowledge of context clues by identifying the different types of context clues and using them to define words. I believe that this is a challenging test for some students, but could be used for an honors level 6th grade class through 12th grade as a good review of basic information that will be presented on the SOL tests and within any English Language Arts courses they take.
