Product Description
The Bully Book is a unit for students in grades 4-6 designed to help them understand what bullying is, facts about bullying, the four main types of bullying, and steps to take if confronted by a bully.

There are four main sections:

• Bully Activities including informational printables, discussion topics, facts about bullying, words associated with bullying with follow-up activities, art projects, writing prompts, and games such as Bully Bingo and a Bully Word Search. A culminating project has students working cooperatively in teams to design an original anti-bullying board game to share with their classmates.

• Role-Playing Scenarios – 20 Role-Playing Scenarios Task Cards for students to act out in small groups. Students discuss and decide how they would handle the situation. One student takes the role of the perpetrator or bully, one is the target or person being bullied, one or more students play the parts of bystanders and followers, and one student plays the role of the person who intervenes and steps in to help resolve the problem.

Give students time to rehearse their skit before performing it for the class. Follow up each presentation with a discussion of different ways the situation could also be handled.

• Bully Buster Awards - colorful award certificates to reward students who stand up to a bully or come to the aid of a friend who is being bullied in the cafeteria, in the classroom, or on the playground.

• Anti-Bully Quotes* - 30 ready-to-use posters to display on a bulletin board or at a learning center with quotes from people such as Barack Obama, Eleanor Roosevelt, Michael J. Fox, Taylor Swift, John Lennon, Adele, Abraham Lincoln, and other famous people. Also included are follow-up activities and templates so students can create their own quotes on bullying.
