Beginner band musicians need a visually easy way to learn their first band scale. Most method books have the entire chromatic scale in the back of the book which is visually overwhelming.
For the new year, move your BEGINNER FLUTES, CLARINETS, SAXOPHONES, TRUMPETS AND BARITONES quickly on their technique and tone production through having them memorize their B flat concert scale easily.
Purchase includes permission for one band director to use for all schools where the purchaser is the teacher. Consider laminating a set so it can be used from year to year.
I like walking my beginners through doing the first two notes up and down, then three notes up and down, then four etc. Also, consider picking a rhythmic pattern that the play on each note of the scale. Have them first sing and finger the scale while saying the pattern before putting air into the instrument.
