The Good Shepherd Lesson plan is part of a 6 lesson plan unit called GOD IS GOOD (HE IS HOLY).

This can be a VERY effective BIBLE LESSONS simply by
1. Playing the BIBLE VIDEO by itself (you don't need to buy this lesson, just go to YouTube.com/VideoCBCM and find the video associated with the above title: THE GOOD SHEPHERD
2. Do step 1, then print the COLORING PAGE AND SEND HOME SHEET for each child, as presented in this lesson.
3. Do steps 1 & 2, then use the EXTRA ACTIVITIES pages to create a truly unique and exciting classroom experience!
EXTRA ACTIVITIES LISTED WITHIN THIS LESSON:
Part 1: Using the SEND HOME SHEET: The first set of activities all center around the Send Home Sheet.
-Color the Page: This part tells you how to use a simple coloring page to build relationships with your students.
-Read the Bible: This part tells you which Bible verses to read to the children.
-Memory Verse Motions: This part encourages you to use the Memory Verse motions listed on the Send Home Sheet to teach the children how to remember the verse by adding American Sign Langauge (ASL) to the verse (provided).
-Discussion Questions: This part lists a discussion question that doesn't have a "correct" answer. Use these to develop critical thinking skills.
-Finish the Sentence: Build community by listening to each student and allowing everyone a turn to finish the sentence through writing and sharing.

-Creation Corner: Give children the chance to create something that is truly original.
-Free Play: allow children to play through learning and give yourself the task of tieing in the day's lesson to whatever the child is playing.
Closing Prayer/Praise Journals: Allow children to write their own prayers and praises using the template provided.
