Take your students on an exciting Virtual Field Trip to the National Mall in Washington D.C. You and your class will “walk” the mall to visit the Supreme Court, The Capitol, various Smithsonian Buildings, The White House, The Lincoln Memorial, The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and other War Memorials. As you click on each landmark, you will be taken to links that provide pictures, videos, and informational pages about each location. I have tried to choose links that are free of political bias and focus on historical and governmental facts. Some of the videos are longer and some are just a few minutes, some have narration, some just have visuals, but all are engaging for your students and give them a glimpse what can be found at the National Mall. Patriotic music at the beginning sets the stage for this exciting journey.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: While this virtual field trip is packed with interesting and student appropriate youtube videos, many of them include ads preceding the videos. You might want to check each video out before showing.
