The Three Goats Gruff:
The three goats Gruff only have grass that is too dry and crunchy. They have run out of fresh green grass to eat! Help the hungry trio across the bridge to the other side, where the grass is fresh and green. But beware! The grumpy Troll living under the bridge, preys on all who try to cross it!
How To Play:
Roll one die and collect the number of cards as is on its face. Read them correctly, and you may keep the cards.
Move forward the same number of spaces as correctly read words, and return any incorrectly read words to the bottom of the deck.
The winner is the person who has collected the most cards, once both players have reached the fresh grass.
This game may be played using cards that reflect any focus concept. For example, you may like to start with initial consonant clusters (blends) within closed syllables, such as those containing ‘r’ such as br cr dr fr gr pr tr which is available as a free resource in my store.
