THE (VOCAL) INSTRUMENT PARADE (7 Intermediate Vocal Warm-Ups That Sound Like Band Instruments!) was designed with the intermediate to advanced vocal student or choir in mind. The idea was to try to imitate the instruments in the band . . . clarinets, oboes, flutes, tubas, piccolos, drums – and to try to make the instrument sing by duplicating the most common melody riffs played by these instruments. The rhythms are a little more difficult than the average warm-up, however, they are easy to learn by rote or serves as an excellent music lesson. The vocal warm-up aspect of these songs help to develop vocal technique by using vowel sounds and consonant endings. Kazoos, whistles, squeezing the nose and other fun extras are just that . . . for fun!
