Ever wanted to have the time to explicitly teach your students words 6 words that follow the same pattern? Well this video can do just that! I have automated me explicitly teaching these words. Each word has:
*The meaning read
*The phonemes articulated
*The graphemes identified from the THRASS chart
*The letters spoken to spell the word
*Been broken up into vowels (red) and consonant (blue) sounds
*Been broken up into syllable beats
*Syllable beats written as dots
Words in this video are house, mouse, out, shout, mouth and loud.
Video are for classroom use only and can be uploaded to school based sites such as Seesaw or Stile. Videos are not to be put in youtube.
The difference these videos have made to my students is significant. My students not only have a better understanding of the THRASS chart but they are making more accurate spelling choices when attempting to spell new words. Using the line breaks is a strategy they have started to use, to ensure they are recording each phoneme.
106 slides have been recorded for this video. This is a wonderful resource that took many hours to create.
