Teacher Keys Effectiveness System (TKES) is a new way of evaluating Georgia teachers based on objective measures such as student growth and achievement.
The evaluation system is focused on giving teachers feedback in ten different “domains”, such as professional knowledge, instructional strategies, academically challenging environment, and communication. Teacher Keys centers on “value-added” measures of student growth.
Teachers one of four ratings: Exemplary, Proficient, Needs Development, or Ineffective.
A minimum of two 30 minute evaluations are required; one will be announced, one unannounced
Four periodic 10-15 minute Walkthroughs will also be required.
I have tried to break down each standard on one page for easier understanding.
I hope you enjoy!
