Product Description
This worksheet has a nonfiction reading selection on tornadoes. This Fujita Scale activity provides students with the Fujita Scale and related questions to check for understanding. The Math/Science connection is that there are several questions that ask about the range of two numbers. Students need to do some calculations. Additionally, there are three real life tornado scenarios where students are asked to read about a tornado event in the US and try to evaluate it's Fujita Scale rating based on the damage descriptions to human built structures and vegetation. Finally, students are asked to color in the weakest and strongest tornado and then rate each tornado on the Fujita Scale.
