This is the alternate WRITTEN VERSION of an interactive digital story that I tell over the course of four days in my classroom. I use this story with students who feel more comfortable with the material after we have had a chance to practice with the targeted vocabulary and grammar. I have included detailed lesson plans to give you a comprehensive idea about how I use this story as the basis for each class and what I do before, during, and after it to keep students communicating with me and with one another in the target language. I use this story in the Spanish 1 classroom when we are discussing likes, dislikes, wants and needs. I use it around Chapter 3 of Exprésate although I don't follow the textbook in lockstep.
