This is the written version of the interactive digital story that I tell over the course of three days in my classroom. It comes with a guided notes sheet and supplemental activities to keep students engaged. I have included detailed lesson plans to give you a comprehensive idea about how I use this story as the basis for each class and what I do before, during, and after it to keep students communicating with me and with one another in the target language. I use this story in the Spanish 1B classroom to start the semester. I use it in preparation for some readings about snacks in Spanish-speaking countries, but the targeted vocabulary is very useful and very common.
