This is a powerpoint presentation that covers an activity each day using the days of the week. The main character eats (come) a lot of pizza. He also works on hw, goes to school, visits his friend and his grandma and plays Xbox 360 and eats more pizza. Because the days of the week are used, this is the time when I talk about using "el" instead of "en" to say "on Monday, on Tuesday, etc."
The story is followed by 10 follow up questions. I have the students write down their answers in complete Spanish sentences on a sheet of paper. Then the next set of slides restates the question and on the advance the answer pops up in a complete Spanish sentence.
I substitute the names of students in my class to make the lesson more engaging.
