Use this TPRS story format to help students master travel vocabulary.
Step 1: put story on overhead or SMARTboard and introduce it to students. As you go through it, make actions for all boldwords. (Ask students for ideas to involve them) Stop and ask questions as you go through the story and review actions. ¿Quiénes viajaron a Costa Rica? ¿Adónde viajaron? ¿Cómo viajaron?
Step 2 after you’ve gone through the story several times divide students in groups of 2-3 and have them tell the story to classmates and act out in small groups.
Step 3 Choose volunteers and act out the story in classroom
Step 4: on p. 2 have students draw a representation of each bold word and them have them draw entire story in symbols in text box on p 1.
