Description
Engage your elementary students in math with this simple, Pac-Man themed, Geometry game - Transformation Pacman! The perfect activity when introducing rotations, reflections and translations or as ongoing revision game - just like my students, your students will be begging to play this game daily!
Based on the maze video game Pac-Man, created in Japan in 1980, students draw a card at random to determine which transformation Pac-Man will use. Students then roll a dice to move through a maze collecting dots and avoiding ghosts! The player with the most colored dots or, the most dots coloured after a set time limit, is the winner! This game can be easily modified to include more than one transformation card; this requires students to perform a greater number of transformations before moving (e.g. reflect, rotate and then translate).
What's Included:
- How to Play Instructions
- Printable Pac-Man Playing Piece(s) Template
- Printable Playing Board (color, black-and-white and blank!)
- Printable Transformation Cards for Reflections, Rotations and Translations
- A variety of Transformation Reference Posters
