Students will be “popping” with excitement over this hands-on, interactive center! All you need are letter tiles, a popcorn bowl (found mine at Dollar Tree), popcorn kernels, and this packet! If letter tiles are unavailable, simply print the ones included on either white or colored cardstock and cut them out. Another idea would be to use the colored square math tiles and write the letters on with a permanent marker.
Students search through the popcorn in the bowl for the letter tiles they need to complete the words on their WORDSEARCH activity sheet. After placing all the letters on the sheet they remove their tiles and trace each letter printed in the boxes. A follow-up sheet is also included which will allow them to write these same words in the correctly shaped letter boxes on the WORDSHAPES activity sheet.
Be sure to click the PREVIEW to get a complete look at everything included in this packet!
