My students list this as one of their favorite projects of the semester. We set up the classroom like a jury room and read this play together. I even made place signs for each juror. After we read the play, we discussed prejudice. Then the students wrote an essay about three of the jurors proving that it is almost impossible to come into a jury room without some sort of prejudice. This is a great project because it can be completed in two days. I feel this project prepared my students to become better citizens when they are called to jury duty.
