This file will help young students to transition from rhythms shown in picture form (big picture for ta and two small pictures for ti-ti) to rhythmic notation.
The first several slides show songs with picture rhythms and then transition into rhythm stick form then rhythm notation.
The final slides are interactive slides allowing students to choose what rhythm they see and click it for the correct answer.
This file includes the following songs:
- Apple Tree
- Bee, Bee Bumblebee
- Bobby Shaftoe
- Bounce High, Bounce Low
- Closet Key
- Cobbler, Cobbler
- Engine, Engine
- Lucy Locket
- Rain, Rain
- William He Had Seven Sons
Last edited 7/31/14 to include interactive activity at the end of the powerpoint to check for understanding.
This file pairs well with the Ta & Ti-Ti Rhythm Match Manipulatives
