This fun and colorful activity includes two levels of play. The first level has eight 4-beat rhythm patterns with ta and ti-ti (or whichever language your students use) while the second level of play includes eight 8-beat rhythm patterns. Students simply click on a composer of their choice on the SMART board or on your computer and then read the rhythm pattern that appears!

Directions for use, with several different ways to do the activity--for individual, small group, or whole class use--are included. Suggestions for differentiation and assessment are also included, as well as how to use with learning centers. Two of the slides allow students to create their own patterns--a great opportunity to discuss composition and improvisation!

If you use alternate rhythm names, such as "du" and "du-day," you can still use all of the files, as the rhythm names aren't specified within the files.
