These worksheets are a nice introduction or review of quarter notes, eighth note pairs, quarter rests and half notes. There are 4 worksheets:
1) Draw a circle around the quarter notes, a triangle around the eighth note pairs and a square around the half notes.
2) Same directions, but notes are in 4 straight lines, and there are more of them.
3) Three lines of notes, students write in "ta" for the quarter notes, and ti-ti for the eighth note pairs. An answer key is provided.
4.) Eight boxes are provided, with a "note bank" (the same notes/rest used previously) for students to choose from. Students write notes/rests in each box that add up to 4 beats.
The third worksheet is the only page that directly uses "ta" and "ti-ti"; the other 3 are suitable to use with any notation syllable system you might use.
Worksheets are in black and white to save ink.
