Using textual evidence to support an inference from the text.
This activity is excellent for students to build on others' responses and clarify meaning for students who are struggling. This can be used across any content area, with varying texts. The teacher poses an open ended question, the student records the question. The first student responds to the question and then passes it to a nearby student. The next student replies to his/her response. The process is repeated until all speech bubbles are complete. The first response student has the chance to read through responses. The class shares out.
