INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOK TABLE OF CONTENTS AND VOCABULARY PAGE
We want our students to use their INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOKS, so let’s help them to make them organized. At the start of each unit, the students set up their notebook with these pages. I give them a blank Table of Contents (as is) to glue into their notebook. We fill it in as we go through the unit. I have also had them tab, paperclip, or mark where this page in the notebook is.
The Vocabulary Page has been given to them in different ways. I have handled vocabulary differently depending upon the group of students and/or the unit. Sometimes I give them the blank copy to glue in and we add vocabulary (not in alpha order) as we come across it. Other times, we start the unit with them looking up the vocab, then we go in depth when we get to that topic. Whether it is one of these methods, or another, I have found that students need a firm understanding of their Mathematical Vocabulary.
