I did this with 2 classes of my kids a few weeks ago, and they loved it, learned so much. We created out own table of elements and hung it on the wall - all 119 elements. One was for a regular chemistry class and the other was for a higher level class. The higher set has the configuration of every element. Both sets have diagrams on them showing which elements are solids, liquids, or gasses art room temperature.
Check out the preview file and pictures to get an idea of what was used and what was done.
We cut out all elements, taped them to CD cases and hung them on the wall. All students were eagerly involved and motivated, and most importantly, learned enthusiastically.
Included in this product are both sets of 119 elements: one set with the electronic configuration of each element, and one set without. They can also be used for other activities. The word document is full editable for you to resize each element to the size that suits your classroom or activity.
There is also an instruction sheet showing clearly the method to do this, outlining materials needed and hints and tips to cut down time wasting.
My kids loved doing this and learned a lot, I believe yours will also.
Have fun and good luck.
