I created this tacky sweater glyph for my students to work on using descriptive adjectives. It also can tie in nicely with an informative writing standard, writing to inform someone.
Day 1: Create the Sweater, Cut and paste on construction paper.
Day 2: Brainstorm as many descriptive adjectives as possible on scratch paper and draft a rough copy of an informative paragraph. The paragraph should inform the reader of what the sweater looks like while using as many of the brainstormed adjectives as possible.
Day 3: Revise and edit the rough copy of your paragraph. Create a final copy of your tacky sweater informative writing. Underline all adjectives. Paste the final copy with the sweater and hang out in the hall!
I did use one graphic from a website. The tiny sweater on the first page is from www.art-saloon.ru
